ISO/TC 44/SC 8, Short report of November meeting

ISO/TC 44/SC 8 “Equipment for gas welding, cutting and allied processes” met on 2017-10-26 to -27 at ANIMA in Milan, Italy. Experts from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and United Kingdom participated in the meeting. Liaison reports were given from ISO/TC 45/SC 1 “Rubber and plastics hoses” and from ISO/TC 58/SC 2 “Gas cylinder valves”. The Systematic Reviews were discussed. Apparently a couple of International standards are hardly used in Europe because European standards on the same topics exist. Their scopes shall be compared in order to check if a future revision may lead to EN ISO standards.
