ISO/TC 44/SC 11 "Qualification requirements for welding and allied processes personnel" met on 2019-03-25 in Essen. During the meeting, the following topics have been discussed:
- SC 11 agreed to submit an updated draft of ISO 9606 "Qualification testing of welders - Fusion welding" with all parts combined in 1 document for new work item ballot – was previously a Preliminary Work Item (PWI);
- A Category A liaison was agreed with EWF, the European Welding Federation, due to their involvement in personnel qualification programmes;
- drafts for brazer (WD 13585) and brazer procedure qualification (WD 17779) were updated in WG 3 "Brazing qualification" and will be submitted for another WG consultation before DIS ballot.
