ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 40/WG 3 is the working group assigned by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 40 for the development of IT-enabled services-Business process outsourcing (ITES-BPO) standards including ISO/IEC 30105. WG 3 is also responsible for developing other documents to adapt to the industrial dynamics of ITES-BPO.
IT Enabled Services-Business Process Outsourcing (ITES-BPO) lifecycle processes ISO/IEC 30105 (all parts) specifies the lifecycle processes requirements involved in the ITES-BPO industry. It defines the processes to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve its services.

ISO/IEC 30105 is an overarching standard for all aspects of ITES-BPO industry which covers the entire outsourcing lifecycle. It defines good practices, determines process capability and organizational maturity for the ITES-BPO service provider. It is an improvement standard enabling risk determination and improvement. It is a generic standard that can be applied to all IT-enabled business process outsourced services, regardless of type, size and the nature of the services delivered.
