Conformity assessment from MSR (Management System for Records ISO 30301) can be done by a third independent organization (certification). If you are looking to get certified to one or more of our management system standards, then you need to get in touch with an external certification body.
These external certification bodies normally use the ISO's Committee on Conformity Assessment (CASCO) standards related to the certification process. For auditing Management System Standards the main Standard is ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems — Part 1: Requirements.
In the case of MSR, this standard is complemented with ISO/IEC TS 17021-14:2022 Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems — Part 14: Competence requirements for auditing and certification of management systems for records. The standard includes the competence requirements for personnel involved in the audit and certification process for management systems for records (MSR)
