ISO TC 46/SC 11 resolves to create Ad Hoc Group 4 to commence work on a White Paper providing insights on records management challenges (and ways to address them) that organizations are facing as business is increasingly conducted independent of time, place and device. The aim is to publish the White Paper within 3 months after the May 2021 plenary. This work will be led by Andy Potter (ANSI).

ISO/TC 46/SC 11 resolves to disband AHG 2 ‘Disposition’ and thanks its convenor John Martinez (ANSI) for leading this Ad Hoc Group.

ISO/TC 46/SC 11 resolves to create a new Working Group 21, titled ‘Disposition’, to develop a
Technical Specification on this subject to be completed within a 24-month timeframe, and appoints Jill
Hudson (ANSI) as Convenor from 2021-2023 and Aldo Maugeri (BSI) as Project Leader.

ISO/TC 46/SC 11 resolves to disband AHG3 ‘Records Management in Structured Data
Environments’, and thanks its convenor Alexander Wright (SCC) for leading this Ad Hoc Group.

ISO/TC 46/SC 11 resolves to create a new Working Group 22, titled ‘Records Management in
Structured Data Environments’, to develop a Technical Report on ‘Issues and considerations for
managing records in structured data environments’, to be completed within a 24 month timeframe,
and appoints Xiaomi An (SAC) as Convenor from 2021-2023 and Jill Hudson (ANSI) as Project
Leader.

ISO/TC 46/SC 11 resolves that Working Group 1 establish a team led by Sylvie Dessolin (ILNAS) to
carry out preparatory research for the possible development of draft non-normative guidance on
examples of metadata element sets that are consistent with ISO 23081. The team to report on
progress to the Working Group in late 2021. This preparatory work should include consideration of
metadata elements for digital records in business systems.
