Air Quality Data in Near-Real-Time |
ISO/TC211 standards usedISO 19115 – Geographic information - Metadata |
How the standards are used in our processes/projectsMetadata on both the data and the services utilized is provided by an INSPIRE Conformant CSW metadata catalogue, allowing for simple discovery of the datasets and OWS services available for provision. Spatial data is encoded following the GML Based INSPIRE Environmental Monitoring Facilities model as extended through the requirements from the European Air Quality Directive 2008/50/EC, provided via WFS2. Measurement data is also encoded following same requirements, while making full use of the Observations and Measurements model. This data is provided via SOS. |
Benefits for the userAll relevant information pertaining to air quality monitoring, including up-to-date measurement values, are available online to all users. Through the use of international standards, the data is easy to identify, interpret and use. |
