Working Group 6 - Asset Management

The Working Group manages the development of international standards dealing with the management of assets.

The latest recent publication concerns the standard:

ISO TR 24589-1:2024 Examples of good practice for the management of assets of water supply and wastewater systems — Part 1: Water supply

It continues to work on the development as follows:

PR ISO TR 24594 Service activities relating to drinking water supply, wastewater and stormwater systems — Water loss management good practice
PR ISO TS 24593 Establishment of a Master Plan for Water Supply – Evaluation of water demand
PR ISO 24516-1:2016/Amd 1 Guidelines for the management of assets of water supply and wastewater systems — Part 1: Drinking water distribution networks — Amendment 1
PR ISO TR 24589-2 Guidelines for the management of assets of water supply and wastewater systems — Examples of good practice of management — Part 2: Wastewater systems

Also several other thoughts are being discussed within the working group:

New PR TS Devices for potable water pipes inspection from the inside, while the pipe is still in service
Merge of ISO 24516:2019 Part 1 with Part 2 & Part 3 with Part 4 (Guidelines for the management of assets of water supply and wastewater systems — Part 1: Drinking water — Part 2: Waterworks — Part 3: Wastewater — Part 4: Wastewater treatment plants, sludge treatment facilities, pumping stations, retention and detention facilities
