Geographic information — Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) — Part 2: Land registration |
7 |
| Scope |
This document: — defines a reference land administration domain model (LADM) covering basic information-related components of land registration (including elements above and below the surface of the Earth); The following is outside the scope of this document: — interference with (national) land administration laws with potentially legal implications; and This document provides the concepts and the detailed structure for standardization in the land administration domain. |

Supporting the following Sustainable Development Goals:
(Direct support) ISO 19152‑2 directly supports secure land tenure by enabling standardised documentation and management of land rights. The standard underpins legal security of tenure and supports monitoring of SDG indicator 1.4.2 on land rights. |
(Indirect support) ISO 19152‑2 supports sustainable urban and rural development by enabling reliable land registration information that can be integrated with planning, housing, and land‑use management systems. |
(Indirect support) ISO 19152‑2 supports effective, accountable, and transparent institutions by promoting consistent and interoperable land registration practices that strengthen legal certainty and reduce land‑related disputes. |
(Indirect support) ISO 19152‑2 facilitates cooperation among land authorities, governments, and international organisations by providing a shared reference model for land registration data and system interoperability. |
