The Swedish standardization organization (SIS) closely follows international and European standardization and is actively involved in the work of different committees. Among them the new CEN/TC 468 Preservation of digital information and TC 46 Information and Documentation.
Two of the Swedish technical committees have been reorganized into one committee in order to cover a full mirroring of TC 46 and its sub-committees. The aim is to better consolidate the work of TC 46 and to avoid missing important work or overlap between committees.
Two national committees have become one, SIS/TK 546 Information management. The new committee is divided into three working groups each one responsible for a specific area: AG 01 “Management system and overall concepts”, AG 02 “Operational management” and AG 03 “Physical preservation”. Each working group has a portfolio of products to manage and an area to monitor. The TK 546 committee also includes a Strategic Working Group to address other issues and concerns related to strategy and methods of work within the SIS/TK 546 committee.
