Seeking information on how ISO 23081 has been used around the world

ISO TC46/SC11/WG1 is considering options and potential future directions for revising ISO 23081 (Metadata for records), Part 1: Principles (first published 2006) and Part 2: Conceptual and implementation issues (first published 2007).

To help us with this work we are seeking documentation of cases where ISO 23081 has been used to support metadata implementations in particular jurisdictions and organizations around the world. We are particularly keen to receive use cases where jurisdictions and organizations have developed local standards, schemas, or guidance based on ISO 23081 and to hear about the success or otherwise of these local implementations, including lessons learned and any gaps or issues associated with ISO 23081 that these implementations have identified.

You can find a template for documenting your cases at this link

Please note that, while the focus of this information-gathering exercise is to find out how people have used ISO 23081 and what their experiences of doing so have been, we would also be interested to hear about any records metadata initiatives that have chosen NOT to use ISO 23081. There is no template for this, but we would be very glad to hear about such 'non-use cases', the reasons why ISO 23081 was not used, etc. It would be good to hear about such cases, as there may well be lessons for us to learn there.
