ISO/IEC AWI 11034: "Trustworthiness in Cloud Computing" - A New Work Product

Capture1.PNGISO/IEC AWI 11034 is a new work product that has been registered in the Technical Committee/Subcommittee (TC/SC) work programme at Stage 20.00 within the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 38 framework. ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 38 is dedicated to standardization in the field of Cloud Computing and Distributed Platforms, covering foundational concepts, technologies, operational issues, and interactions among Cloud Computing systems and other distributed systems.

The title of the new work product is "Information technology - Cloud computing - Trustworthiness in cloud computing." This document aims to provide a comprehensive overview, frameworks, and concepts for ensuring trustworthiness in the context of cloud computing. Trustworthiness is a critical aspect in the rapidly evolving landscape of cloud services, and this standard seeks to establish guidelines and principles to enhance the reliability, security, and integrity of cloud computing environments.

ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 38, as the responsible committee, plays a crucial role in guiding the development of standards related to Cloud Computing and Distributed Platforms. It serves as the focal point for proactively addressing foundational concepts, operational challenges, and interactions among various systems in these domains. Furthermore, SC 38 provides guidance to other standardization bodies, such as JTC 1, IEC, and ISO, as well as other entities involved in the development of standards in the field of Cloud Computing and Distributed Platforms.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of the international community to establish a robust and standardized framework for cloud computing, ensuring that trustworthiness is a fundamental aspect of these technologies. As the work progresses through the stages of development, stakeholders and industry experts will have the opportunity to contribute their expertise, ultimately shaping a standard that aligns with the evolving needs of the cloud computing landscape.
