We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in the development of ISO/DTR 8344 Issues and Considerations for Managing Records in Structured Data Environments, focusing on managing records in structured data environments. Following the May 2023 Plenary, the project has progressed to Stage 50.00, signifying the receipt of the Final Draft Text (FDT).
Post-May 2023 Plenary Progress:
The May 2023 Plenary served as a crucial platform for advancing the project. Substantial progress was made during this session as the project team diligently worked toward the development of a Draft Technical Report. The collaborative efforts of experts and stakeholders have culminated in a comprehensive document that addresses the complexities of records management in structured environments.
Intended Audience:
The ISO/DTR 8344 Draft Technical Report is designed for a diverse audience, including records managers, IT professionals, application developers, legal and compliance experts, researchers, educators, and individuals with a keen interest in the intersection of records management and structured data environments.
Next Steps:
With the achievement of Stage 50.00, ISO/DTR 8344 is now poised to enter the formal editorial proofing process. Once that is done it will be published.
