Last November 2016 Spanish National Standarization Body (now named UNE- Normalización Española) published UNE ISO 15489 (2016) Gestión de documentos: Conceptos y principios.
It was presented in Madrid in a workshop hosted by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports on November 23 rd.
The audience was composed of more than 150 people mainly records management professionals working in different sectors. Workshop was leaded by members of the National Technical Commitee, who have translated the standard into Spanish. The Subdirector of Spanish Archives opened the workshop. Judith Ellis connected trough videoconference from Australia to introduce Tc46/SC11 work. Afterwards two different pannels of experts presented waht is new in the standard. The audience participate asking questions and providing experiences of application.
