I have been on this committee for the whole of its lifetime so I was there when Judith began as chair. A role she shouldered excellently. Judith has been a great support for everyone in SC 11 and consequently also for me. She was very knowing of everything ISO and SC 11. This said, and I am convinced that everyone else is also saying the same thing, I want to say something about her as the person I know.
Most mornings before meetings you could see her in training gear as she had been running or walking through the landscape. After that she lead the meetings with energy and competence and made sure that the different working groups did what they were supposed to. There often was a tendency to extend the work too far out into the wild world of managing records. She was a great help to me when things went sideways with the work and she could be a nice companion over a glass of wine after the meetings.
