The 11th ISO/ TC312 meeting took place between 26 and 29 February 2024 in Beijing, China
The chairman, Prof. Gouthier, opened the meeting of ISO/TC 312 and welcomed all participants to the 11th ISO/TC 312 meeting (hybrid). Mr. Qiang Fu, on behalf of SAC, welcomed the committee to Beijing. ISO/TC 312, the chairman and the secretariat thanked the host for the invitation.
Approximately 30 people participated in this TC 312 General Assembly, including representatives from Communities) and ISO/TC 342 (Management consultancy), as their activities are related to TC 312, and this was approved.
Comments by Professor Matthias Gouthier, Chair of ISO/TC 312:
The ISO/TC 312 11th Plenary Session is very positive. At this meeting, we welcomed two new P-members to the committee. I know that the addition of these new members will generate new ideas and topics. We
also had a number of very constructive and efficient TG and WG meetings. In TG 1 (Communication), we mainly focused on the improvement of our microsite, which is our basic communication channel. In TG 2 (Strategic Business Plan), we updated the Strategic Business Plan (SBP). In the WGs that discuss standards development, we intensively discussed and further developed three new projects in WG 1 (Principles, Models, Measurement), WG 2 (Design of Excellent Services), and WG 5 (Digital Service Excellence). The topics of applying digital approaches to achieve service excellence (ISO/AWI 19384), developing a service excellence maturity model (ISO/WD 19387) and explaining how to implement service excellence according to ISO 23592 (ISO/WD 19390) are not only innovative but also essential from a practitioner's point of view. On the last day, the committee visited Baidu, bringing the program to an exciting close.
