BERLIN, Feb. 12, 2026 – The 13th plenary meeting of ISO/TC 312 on "Excellence in service" took place in Berlin, Germany, from February 9 to 12, 2026, in a hybrid format. The meeting was hosted by DIN, the German Institute for Standardization.
Professor Matthias Gouthier, Chair of ISO/TC 312, and Ms. Pelin Düzyurt, Committee Manager, jointly presided over the plenary session. The meeting featured reports from the ISO/TC 312 Secretariat and updates from TG 1, WG 1, WG 2, WG 4, and WG 5.
Delegates engaged in discussions on the development and advancement of key standards, including ISO 23592, ISO/TS 23686, ISO/WD 24082, ISO/AWI TS 11368-1, and new proposals related to ISO 11367:2025 implementation. The meeting also explored potential new projects for future standardization efforts, including a new initiative on digital approaches to service excellence.
Discussions also covered the appointment of new liaison officers to strengthen coordination with other ISO technical committees, as well as plans for the next annual plenary meeting, scheduled for March 2027.
The meeting concluded with broad consensus on the path forward, marking another successful step in the global effort to advance service excellence standards.
