10th ISO/ TC312 meeting in Larnaca, Cyprus May 2023

The work of the 10th Session of the International Technical Committee for Standardization on Excellence in Services (ISO/TC 312) began on, Monday, May 22, 2023 in Larnaka, was completed onThursday, May 25. The Cyprus Organization for Standardization is represented in this Committee by Mr. George Ioannou, representative of the CCCI. At the opening plenary session, the Director of Standardization of the Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS), Mr. Pambos Kammas, welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of offering excellent services, especially in our country, which is considered as a country providing services par excellence. He then praised the work of this committee, whose standards will be valuable tools for achieving Excellence in Services. Mr. Lazaros Hadjiforados, on behalf of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), gave a short greeting where he underlined the need of the market to shift the emphasis towards the service sectors combined with the growing need for excellence in service, highlighting in this way the creation of an experience economy, in which customers place greater value on the experience they receive.
