In 2005 we published nine new standards, two technical specifications, two amendments and a corrigendum.
These included:
- ISO 19135 Procedures for item registration, which gets used outside our domain and is under revision – public enquiry starting soon
- ISO 19128 Web map server interface, equivalent to OGC Web Map Server, perhaps the most widely used SDI standard
- ISO/TS 19127 Geodetic codes and parameters, the standard that drives the ISO Geodetic Register which is a valued part of the UN Global Geodetic Reference Frame
- ISO/TS 19103 Conceptual schema language, which underpins all our UML modelling; new edition with ISO for publication
- ISO 19109 Rules for application schema, which is widely used by ourselves and others to model specific domains such as Land Administration, INSPIRE data themes, and IHO S-100; under revision – public enquiry ends mid September
In June 2005 we met in Stockholm, Sweden – the only city to have hosted us three times (so far!); that was also the first time we met in the same time zone twice in a row
