The second SDG Summit will be held on 18-19 September 2023 during the UN General Assembly high-level week in New York.

Alongside this event the UNGGIM has a side event the “SDG Action Weekend” 16th and 17th September. The SDG Action Weekend will feature more than 40 side-events, jointly organized by coalitions of UN Member States, UN entities and other international organizations and global stakeholder networks. 

Some of the topics being covered are: 

• The Power of Geospatial Information: Accelerating implementation of the SDGs
• What Exactly is Geodesy - Why do we have a Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence?
• The Integrated Geospatial Information Framework - Knowledge and Capacity Building.
