Dr Sabrina Pit, convenor of the working group Age inclusive workforce, highlights the importance of the development of a new standard that looks at age inclusive workforces. The Working Group met over a three day period 12-15 November in Sydney to debate, discuss and reach consensus on the content to further refine the draft standard.
The group dealt with over 300 comments, based on the existing working draft. Experts from various countries have contributed including but not limited to Japan, Thailand, China, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Vietnam, Malaysia, Uganda and the United States.
We are very pleased with the continuous and high quality contribution and participation from countries across the world. It highlights the importance people place on being able to work well into old age globally.
We welcome new experts at any time, so we encourage people to contact their national standards body if they wish to get involved to shape the future of age inclusive workforces.
