Committee members gathered last week for their yearly plenary meeting. This was an exciting time for the TC as the first meeting took place for new work items such as: ISO 31030 and ISO 31050.
Following the publication of ISO 31000:2018 in February, ISO/TC 262 has been very active and launched a number of proposals for new work items.
This includes the development of ISO 31030 to assist organizations with managing travel risks and ISO 31050 on managing emerging risks which is an important topic considering today's complex and volatile environment. During the yearly plenary week, which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan between 23-27 July 2018, ISO/TC 262 members have made good progress on their projects and important decisions for the committee's future were considered. More news will follow on the individual projects as they take shape. The committee is also close to completing the strategic business plan which will be an important tool for the future direction of the work program and will be publicly available for those interested to learn more about ISO/TC 262.
