A post meeting update on the 88th Plenary meeting of ISO/TC 184/SC 4 - Industrial data

Comments from the Chair.

The 88th Plenary meeting is now in the record books and I am pleased to share that 131 delegates from our 22 member bodies met in Stavanger Norway and virtually to review the work program and progress the development of 31 active projects in SC 4. My thanks to our hosts, Standards Norway and Equinor for their excellent hospitality and accommodating our meeting!

The Committee continues to make notable progress on a variety of fronts including ISO 8000 - Data quality, ISO 10303 STEP, ISO 15926 Integration of life cycle data for oil and gas, and ISO 23726 - Ontology based interoperability, to name just a few.

In addition, the Committee launched new work to address emerging industry requirements for Model Based Design, Data Quality, and Ontology based methods.

Finally, Industry Day was a great success where the Committee had the opportunity to interact with the industrial community on interoperability across sectors.

I look forward to our next meeting, hosted by the United States, in May 2025.
