What is ISO/Technical Committee (TC) 176?

ISO/TC 176 Technical Committee (“TC”) on Quality management and quality assurance has been a leader in the development of standards in the field of quality management systems and  tools since 1979.  We lead standardization in the field of quality management, as well as quality management standardization in specific sectors at the request of the affected sector and the ISO Technical Management Board. 
  
 TC 176 develops standards and tools in the field of quality management, through its three subcommittees (SC):

  
 TC 176 membership includes approximately 120 countries. We also actively support Liaison Bodies, including relevant International Organizations, conformity assessment groups and related technical committees.

Why quality management system standards?

Quality Management Systems are the most fundamental element of any business to meet customers’ and other interested parties’ requirements and expectations.  The breakthrough of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence is an example that affects today’s business environment.  Such technologies necessitate changing and monitoring the inspections, data collection and running the business.  The expectations of the interested parties is also varying rapidly and global environment is causing substantial competition for attracting the attention of consumers to increase the bottom financials.
