ISO/TC 347 (Data-driven agrifood systems) is proud to announce “Making sustainability actionable: Managing hidden impacts at scale with standards”, webinar #13 in its series on working together towards secure and thriving agrifood systems.
Many purchasing, investment and regulatory decisions in agrifood systems are predicated on factors beyond price, often seeking to encourage sustainable practices. There is currently no standardized framework to capture and communicate data describing the environmental and social externalities of agrifood processes, such as those caused by waste and by-product management.
Our speakers, Juan Gutierrez Canseco and Veronica Menendez of Agrolinera (Spain), will introduce this space and examine the problems within it, primarily using a livestock byproducts example. They will share their vision for future standardization opportunities in this domain and explain how to join the effort. A Q&A session will follow.
