Webinar 18: Context matters - Unlocking value in plant health sequencing (meta)data

On-line
Tuesday July 7 - 08:00 New York / 14:00 Berlin / 20:00 Beijing / 21:00 Tokyo

Plant-health next-generation sequencing (NGS) data are increasingly used for diagnostics, surveillance, quarantine testing, and more, but the value of these data depends on the context metadata that accompanies them (sample identity, laboratory workflow, etc.)

In this webinar our speaker, Shiyu Chen (Project Lead, Bioinformatician BGI · Research, Sanya, China) will explain why contextual metadata is essential for interpreting and reusing plant-health NGS data; how the proposed ISO project could support traceability and interoperability through metadata, provenance, and information integrity; and how to join the effort. A Q&A session will follow.
