On 18 April 2019, the ISO/TC267 Roadmap advisory group launched the Facility Management Technology Task Group (FMTTG) within the ISO FM-community with the goal of exploring the many perspectives of 'tech' in relation to FM. From BIM, FMIS, sensing, data, AI and robotics all the way to Smart Cities, we will consider it all.
In the environment we all support as FM’s, technology is becoming increasingly important. Combine this with the near incredible pace technology is evolving and we can conclude that there are ample reasons to invest more attention (and resources) to this topic within ISO/TC267 in general and AG1 Road Map in particular. In order to cater to this specific area of expertise, we have created an FM Technology Task Group (FMTTG) within AG1.
The group will work from now until November 2019 to define the landscape of technology as it relates to FM and develop a recommendation TC267 to move forward with a standard(s) to address the growing needs of the industry.
