In celebration of World FM Day, members of ISO/TC267, Facility Management are preparing for the 10th plenary meeting in Dublin, Ireland.
Our working groups are focused on developing two new standards in the ISO 41000 series, ISO/AWI 41014 Facility management -- Development of facility management strategy and ISO/AWI 41015 Facility management -- Influencing behaviours for improved facility outcomes and user experience. Both standards have an expected publication date in 2021. As we develop ISO 41000 standards for the FM industry, we recognize the importance of world-wide standards to answer a fundamental question: “What is the best way of doing this?”
Facility management standards, developed through this international platform, provide the basis for a common interpretation and understanding of FM and the ways in which it can benefit organizations of all kinds. The standards are intended to raise the standard of care and increase levels of quality, thereby stimulating organizational maturity and competition for the delivery of FM.
