World FM Day 2021 is being celebrated on 12 May.
This year’s theme is: Celebrating FM – Standing Tall beyond the Pandemic
Our worldwide FM leadership team at ISO/TC 267 – Facility Management is joining the celebrations by holding its virtual Plenary Meeting on World FM Day … with much to celebrate!
Our dedicated Technical Committee has continued to deliver its work in developing high-quality standards in support of the FM profession and industry … on a global scale!
Of course, 2021 will continue to be challenging, following the disruptions and difficulties of last year. The pandemic has impacted almost everyone around the world and testing FM at every turn.
Our advisory and working groups have continued to progress diligently throughout this tough time to ensure the development and delivery of sought-after ISO 41000 series standards and reports. The numbers of National Standards Bodies joining ISO/TC 267 continues to grow with now 52 countries represented by close to 200 endorsed FM experts from across the world.
There is a heightened focus on Facility Management due to the massive support it delivers across the management of the built environment. Now, perhaps more than ever, there is the need for the application of sound, consistent management frameworks and tools to ensure sustainable, delivery of FM skills to ensure the safety and operability aspects of buildings for people, regardless of whether they are home, work or leisure focused.
The members of ISO/TC 267 welcome the opportunity to reflect on past achievements, and more importantly looking forward to ‘Standing Tall beyond the Pandemic’.
