FM celebrates World Standards Day

World Standards Day is being celebrated on 14 October

focusing on the theme of “Standards for SDGs”

In today’s dynamic and ever-changing demands of the Built Environment, we create, occupy and manage, Facility Management must embrace sustainability as a core principle of professional FM practice and application. ISO/TC 267 Facility Management strives to ensure that the ISO 41000 series of FM standards adopted and being developed reflect the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).

FM has a responsibility to continually push for better places and spaces to enable organisational success and people’s productive and integrated use, while constantly being balanced responsibly with an aim to a more sustainable, productive and liveable future.
