MSS: Addressing Risks & Opportunities
Several videos have been developed with leading experts (i.e., quality, information security management, occupational health and safety and others) providing information and guidance how management system standards (MSS) have addressed risk and opportunities. The currently available episodes are listed below (click the episode to open in YouTube):
- Episode 1: Information on ISO 31011 Management system to address risks and opportunities - Guidelines. A new ISO Standard is under development to facilitate the integration of addressing Risks and Opportunities into the Integrated Management System of your organisation!
- Episode 2: Integrated Management systems - A practical guide. The IUMSS (Integrated Use of Management System Standards) handbook has been reviewed and refined to become a practical guide.
- Episode 3: Information Security Management. Information Security Management (ISM) is one of the more pressing issues in modern business life. One should approach the issue systematically, to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
- Episode 4: Quality Management. A quality management system helps organisations to consistently provide products and services that meet requirements and support customer satisfaction. ISO 9001 is the international standard that sets out requirements for a quality management system. It is one of ISO’s most widely used standards.
- Episode 5: Occupational Health and Safety. Health and safety in the workplace are the number one concern of most businesses, yet deaths and injuries still occur, and the costs to business and economics is significant. ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements with guidance for use, provides a framework to increase safety, reduce workplace risks and enhance health and well-being at work.
- Episode 6: Energy Management. Energy costs and energy availability are becoming more and more a concern of any organization globally. Energy is a critical resource and its efficient use can lead to significant cost savings and environmental benefits, improve competitiveness and ensure business continuity. It contributes to climate change mitigation by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supports compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. A reduced carbon footprint and alignment with sustainability goals will further help the organization and – at the least – improve its reputation.
