The revisions of ISO 19202-1 and ISO 19202-2 have reached the Draft International Standard (DIS) stage.
ISO/DIS 19202-1 – Safety requirements and test methods
The revision updates safety requirements for the design, construction and testing of summer toboggan runs. Key changes cover driving dynamics, braking and restraint systems, entrance and exit areas, uphill transport and clearance zones, and introduce requirements for optional driving assistance systems.
ISO/DIS 19202-2 – Safety requirements for operation
The revision covers safe operation, maintenance and signage. Key updates address risk assessment, operating personnel, daily start-up, adverse weather conditions, rescue and recovery, as well as emergency lighting and transport cable inspection.
