AG 5 is presently engaged in developing a paper on digital currencies.
The following are among the key aims of this paper: (1) to provide direction and support for the formulation and application of standard definitions in this domain, (2) to identify existing TC 68 standards that can and should be used in this domain, and (3) to identify gaps in existing TC 68 standards that should be incorporated into existing standards or addressed by new work item proposals. AG5 is endeavoring to complete its work on this paper between mid-summer and early fall 2022.
