By FinTech Tag

The FinTech TAG is inviting TC 68 members to attend on December 10th the first in a series of virtual events on the evolution of FinTech and the financial services industry.  The speaker series will emphasize areas where we anticipate standards work is or will be important.  Click on the title to read more...

The first of these events is on December 10th at 3:00 London; 10:00 am New York.  The speaker is Charles Taylor, formerly with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and Office of Financial Research (OFR) in the US.  Mr. Taylor has led recent work on two survey reports – one at the World Bank, one at the IMF – that review and inventory public sector activities in the Fintech space over the past couple of years.  He will share the findings of these reports at the first event on December 10th.  Other topics to follow in January and February include “The evolution of regulatory reporting” and “Central Bank Digital Currency”

Following is the invitation to the Zoom meeting.   As part of the session, Mr. Taylor has recorded a short video that members can view to gain more insight into the material that will be covered in advance of the event on December 10th.  Also attached are links to the two reports that members can read or skim in advance of the meeting (one of them is 40 pages, the other is 10 pages.)  The goal of sharing these materials is to make it easier for members to get oriented to the reports and start thinking about questions that they would like answered.  We will also post a recording of the full presentation after December 10th.

Please add the Zoom meeting to your calendar to join us for the exciting first FinTech TAG virtual speaker series event!
