The updated ISO 22002-series for Prerequisite Programmes on Food Safety has been published.
Restructuring of the Series
The series has undergone significant restructuring with the introduction of Part 100, which now contains the common requirements for the food, feed, and packaging supply chain and as normative reference for the rest of the series. In addition, Part 7 specifically addresses Retail and Wholesale prerequisites. Revisions have also been made to several existing parts of the ISO 22002-series:
- Part 1: Food Manufacturing
- Part 2: Catering
- Part 4: Food Packaging and Manufacturing
- Part 5: Transport and Storage
- Part 6: Feed and Animal Food Production
Availability and Transition Period
All documents are now available for purchase here. The old versions will remain on Danish Standards homepage for purchase.
For the transition period, IAF does not classify these documents as main standards, so they do not establish a default transition period. Each scheme is responsible for defining its own transition period and is therefore encouraged to consult the IAF for confirmation regarding the applicable timeframe.
