ISO/TC 34/SC 17 Management Systems for Food Safety, will hold its 14th plenary and a series of Working Group (WG) meetings in Lima, Peru between 28 October and 1 November 2024.
The set of meetings will include the first physical meeting of the re-established WG8 which will commence its revision of ISO 22000:2018 and what is expected to be the final meeting of WG11 which will consider the comments made by participating national standards bodies on the DIS versions of the ISO 22002 series of standards for Prerequisite Programmes. These include the common requirements in the new ISO 22002 Part 100, covering the food, feed and packaging supply chain as well as Part 7 (Retail). In addition, the revisions to the following parts of the ISO 22002 series – Part 1 (Food manufacturing), Part 2 (Catering), Part 4 (Food packaging and manufacturing), Part 5 (Transport and storage) og Part 6 (Feed and animal food production).
WG 11 is expected to finalize its work on this major revision project during the course of 2025.
