The Second Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC 342 Management Consultancy Concluded

Over 20 experts from countries such as China, the UK, Austria, Hungary, Cyprus, Finland, Australia, and Kenya, as well as representatives from ICMCI, FEACO, and CEN/TC 381 participated in the meeting.

The meeting covered 18 agenda items, including reports from the Secretariat, updates from task groups (TGs), and discussions on potential new proposals. During the new proposal session, Chinese experts presented on digital supply chain management consultancy and engaged in in-depth discussions with international experts. After thorough deliberations, the meeting concluded with multiple resolutions, including:

• Appointing Chinese expert Ms. Huimin HE as the Secretary for both the Strategic Business Plan Task Group (ISO/TC 342/TG1) and the Communication and Engagement Task Group (ISO/TC 342/TG2).
• Establishing internal liaison mechanisms with ISO/TC 232 (Education and learning services), ISO/TC 286 (Collaborative business relationship management), ISO/TC 289 (Brand evaluation), and ISO/PC 343 (Sustainable development goals management).
• Appointing Chinese expert Ms. Shanshan LI as the liaison representative for ISO/TC 342 with ISO/TC 232, ISO/TC 260, and ISO/TC 289.
• Establishing the Supply Chain Management Consultancy Research Ad-hoc group (ISO/TC 342/AHG 2), led by Chinese expert Mr. Zhou HE.

In preparation for this plenary meeting, the ISO/TC 342 Secretariat actively enhanced international coordination, establishing communication with FEACO and facilitating Kenya's transition from observer member (O-member) to participating member (P-member). Additionally, Jordan was welcomed as a new observer member (O-member). By the time of the meeting, ISO/TC 342 had grown to include 34 member countries, comprising 18 participating members and 16 observer members.

During the annual meeting, three working group meetings were held, including those for the ISO/TC 342/TG1), the ISO/TC 342/TG2, and the ISO/TC 342/CAG.
