WHO WE ARE

ISO/TC 342 is a committee established in 2023 under the leadership of SAC (China), with a global membership including a steadily increasing number of countries and organizations in liaison involved such as FEACO, ICMCI, IFWL, ODCCN and SAVE International, reflecting the multidisciplinary and collaborative nature of management consultancy.

ISO/TC 342’s scope covers standardization in the field of management consultancy, excluding technical aspects already covered by ISO/TC 225 (Market, opinion and social research) and ISO/TC 260 (Human resource management). 

We also maintain close working relationships with several other ISO technical committees, including 15 Liaison Committees from ISO/TC 342 and 5 Liaison Committees to ISO/TC 342, ensuring coherence and complementarity across related standardization fields.

CLASSIFICATION OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY SERVICES

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has classified services into 12 main sectors and 160 subsectors, based on the United Nations (UN) Central Product Classification (CPC).

Management consultancy is one of these 160 subsectors. According to the UN CPC, management consultancy services include:

 

 Strategic management consulting services (CPC 83111)

 Financial management consulting services (CPC 83112)

 Human resources management consulting services (CPC 83113)

 Marketing management consulting services (CPC 83114)

 Production management consulting services (CPC 83115)

 Supply chain and other management consulting services (CPC 83116)
