A significant milestone has been reached in the ongoing revision of ISO 45001, Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

The revised standard has now progressed to the Draft International Standard (DIS) stage and has entered the official ISO ballot process. The ballot will remain open for voting and comment until 9 August 2026.

This stage represents an important step in the development of the revised ISO 45001 standard. National standards bodies around the world will now review the draft, submit comments, and vote as part of the ISO consensus-based development process.

ISO 45001 remains the leading international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, helping organizations improve worker health and safety, reduce workplace risks, and strengthen OH&S performance.

The DIS ballot provides stakeholders with an important opportunity to contribute to the continued improvement of the standard and ensure that it remains relevant to current and emerging occupational health and safety challenges.

Further updates will follow as the revision process progresses.
