Following its successful meeting in Casablanca, Morocco, ISO/PC 283 will soon be releasing ISO/CD 45001 for ballot.
The Experts from ISO/PC 283/WG1 completed the majority of their activities in reviewing the comments they had made against the Working Draft from the first meeting of the PC, and after intense discussions agreed to the release of a Committee Draft of ISO 45001 for ballot.
Since the last meeting of the PC, the ISO Technical Management Board has agreed an expansion to the scope of the standard, so that it will now also include an annex giving guidance on its use (in a similar fashion to ISO 14001). Due to this expansion, and the additional work required to achieve the annex, some of the task groups within ISO/PC 283/WG1 will need to continue working for a short period after the meeting.
Once all the sectional texts have been received from the task groups, and the full CD text constructed, it will be sent for editing prior to the start of the CD ballot.
