With the translation period having been completed, the ballot of ISO/DIS 45001.2 has now started.
The ballot will run until 13 July 2017.
Further meetings of ISO/PC 283 and its WG1 are now planned for September 2017 in Melaka, Malaysia, in order to review the results of the ballot on the 2nd DIS.
In terms of the potential timeline for the publication of ISO 45001, the following could now occur, provided the 2nd DIS achieves approval:
- If the 2nd DIS only receives a limited number of comments,
and the review of comments on the 2nd DIS is completed at the September meeting,
and ISO/PC 283 is able to avoid the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) stage,
publication could be achieved by around November 2017;
- If an FDIS stage is decided as being necessary, or a large volume of comments is received (requiring additional meetings to process them), publication could be achieved by approximately March 2018 at the earliest.
