Congratulations to TG4 - Great Work on Emerging Themes in OHS Managemement

Emerging Themes in OHS Management.

This document summarizes the first set of themes identified by TG 4. It presents explorations of 15 themes including topics such as workforce diversity, emerging technologies, supply chain issues, climate change and many others. These explorations have been undertaken by TG 4 members as an information-gathering exercise, using existing materials written, developed, and published by experts in the respective subjects, both within ISO committees and in the wider world. Identifying and exploring emerging themes is an ongoing process. Thus, this document is evolving, and will be reviewed and updated regularly.

Emerging OHS Management ThemesManagement practices evolve over time in response to changing conditions and emerging themes. Occupational health and safety (OHS) management is no exception. The primary goal of OHS management is to prevent work-related injuries and ill-health and proactively improve OHS performance. That is, to reduce the number and severity of worker injuries and ill health and to promote workers’ well-being. This document was created by TC 283 (ISO Committee on Occupational Health and Safety Management) to explore how emerging themes may affect OHS management and might impact its ability to achieve its primary goal.
