A hearty congratulations to David Smith, former Chair of the PC 283 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. David was recently awarded the British Standards Institute (BSI) Wolfe Barry Metal. This most prestigious of the BSI Standards Awards recognizes exceptional contribution over a standards development career for outstanding and sustained impact on industry, the economy and/or the public good. It is tantamount to a “lifetime achievement award.” The award was made at the BSI Standards Conference and Awards in London, UK.
