Addressing Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace

How have you been feeling lately? What about over the past couple of years? Do you feel more stressed-out than usual? Is working from home easier, harder, or somewhere in-between? How did you feel before the pandemic took over the world? How has this affected your abilities to do your job?

These may be questions you have asked yourselves, or questions others have been asking you. In either case, many working adults have not been as clear-minded or emotionally solid as we were before the world changed.

Since the pandemic took full effect, the mental/emotional health of workers has become a much more openly discussed topic in all forms of media – this was not generally the case prior to 2020. However, now that there has been a broader recognition of psychological stressors – inside and outside of the workplace – that can impact workers, it is more important to use that acknowledgement and address it appropriately and adequately in our daily work routines.
