The Technical Committee and its Working Groups and Task Groups met in Kigali in October 2019 to continue their work on the ongoing development and maintenance of ISO 45001:2018 and supporting standards and guidance. 35 participating member countries, 5 Observer member bodies and 6 external Liaison bodies attended, with over 97 delegates involved in work around implementation of ISO 45001, psychological health and safety and many other issues.
The Chair, Martin Cottam, opened the meeting welcoming colleagues from around the world and introducing our generous hosts for the week, the Rwandan Standards Board (RSB). The Director General of RSB, Raymond Murenzi welcomed delegates to Rwanda. Permanent Secretary of the Rwandan Ministry of Trade and Industry, Michel Minega Sebera , spoke to the meeting about the government commitment to and support for the work of ISO/TC 283.
