ISO/WD 14060.2, Net Zero Aligned Organizations

Requirements for how any type of organization can demonstrate that their net zero strategy, including their targets and delivery to these targets, are compatible with reaching net zero, and that they are making credible and verifiable progress towards contributing to global net zero in line with the Paris Agreement. The scope would be limited to organizations, not including their products, in line with the scope of IWA 42 (See Annex for full scope).

ISO/AWI 14064-1, Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals — Amendment 1

This document specifies principles and requirements at the organization level for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. It includes requirements for the design, development, management, reporting and verification of an organization's GHG inventory.

The ISO 14064 series is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of the ISO 14064 series.

ISO/AWI 14064-2 Greenhouse gases — Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements

This document specifies principles and requirements and provides guidance at the project level for the quantification, monitoring and reporting of activities intended to cause greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions or removal enhancements. It includes requirements for planning a GHG project, identifying and selecting GHG sources, sinks and reservoirs (SSRs) relevant to the project and baseline scenario, monitoring, quantifying, documenting and reporting GHG project performance and managing data quality.

The ISO 14060 family of standards is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, the requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of the ISO 14060 family of standards.

ISO/DTS 14064-4 Greenhouse gases — Part 4: Quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions for organizations — Guidance for the application of ISO 14064-1

his document describes the principles, concepts and methods relating to the quantification and reporting of direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for an organization. It provides guidance for the application of ISO 14064 1 to greenhouse gas inventory at the organization level, for the quantification and reporting of direct emissions and indirect emissions. This document describes for all organizations, the steps for:  establishing organizational boundaries, in accordance with either a control approach (financial or operational) or an equity share approach;  establishing reporting boundaries, by identifying direct and indirect emissions to be quantified and reported; for each category of emission, guidance is provided on specific boundaries and methodologies for the quantification of GHG emissions and removals;  GHG reporting: guidance is provided to promote transparency regarding the boundaries, the methodologies used for the quantification of direct and indirect GHG emissions and removals, and the uncertainty of the results. The examples and case studies presented in this document are not exclusive and non-exhaustive. The values of the emission or removal factors mentioned in the examples are given for illustrative purposes only. A non-exhaustive list of database references is provided in Annex A (informative)

ISO/DIS 14064-5 Greenhouse gas management Part 5: Guidelines for the use of remote methods in conducting verification and validation greenhouse gas statements

This document provides guidance for conducting verification and validation of greenhouse gas statements (claims) using of remote methods. It is applicable to all organizations and products that need to plan and conduct internal or external verification/validation (i.e. 1st, 2nd , 3rd party) of greenhouse gas statements. This document additionally provides competence for verifier/validator in the use of remote method. This document is intended to strengthen reliability in verifying or validating greenhouse gas statements using remote methods among clients, intended users, responsible parties, regulators, accreditation bodies, verification and validation bodies, scheme owners, industry, employees, manufacturer, consumers and other interested parties. The use of remote methods in carrying out verification and validation of greenhouse gas statements is not intended to replace general onsite verification or validation as the default method. This document is applicable whether a verification or validation process uses remote methods only or combination methods of remote and onsite. This document is applied to any greenhouse gas programme (see definition 3.19., a draft attached). This document provides guidance in addition to the requirements in of ISO 14065, ISO 14066 and ISO 14064-3.

ISO/AWI 14067 Greenhouse gases — Carbon footprint of products — Requirements and guidelines for quantification

This document specifies principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the carbon footprint of a product (CFP), in a manner consistent with International Standards on life cycle assessment (LCA) (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044).

Requirements and guidelines for the quantification of a partial CFP are also specified.

This document is applicable to CFP studies, the results of which provide the basis for different applications (see Clause 4).

This document addresses only a single impact category: climate change. Carbon offsetting and communication of CFP or partial CFP information are outside the scope of this document.

This document does not assess any social or economic aspects or impacts, or any other environmental aspects and related impacts potentially arising from the life cycle of a product.

ISO/WD 14070 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Measurements in Urban Environments — Part 1: GHG Concentration Measurements in Urban Atmospheres with Surface-Based Observing Networks

Quantification of GHG emission rates from urban environments, where a wide range of GHG emission sources and sinks are located, requires atmospheric measurements to assess the background concentrations of GHGs that represent the incoming air stream and the GHG concentrations in the outgoing stream; the difference represents the “enhancement” of GHG concentrations due to emission sources and sinks within the control volume representing the urban dome. This document represents the first in a series of standards that establish requirements for accurate measurement of GHG emissions in urban environments.

This document supports local governments and communities in adapting to climate change based on vulnerability, impacts and risk assessments. In working with relevant interested parties, it also supports the setting of priorities, and the development and subsequent updating of an adaptation plan.
