Update - ISO 9001 Revision: TC176 SC2 WG 29 convened in September to continue work on ISO 9001.
It has been a time of change for ISO/TC 176/SC 2/WG 29, the working group responsible for the revision of ISO 9001.
The convenor stepped down from that role over the summer but will remain an active and valued member of the convenor support team.
Grateful thanks are offered for their continuing support for this project.
The Convenor role is being covered by the Chair of ISO TC176/SC2 as an interim.
It has been agreed that a second Committee Draft will be developed and the updated timeline for the revision will be released over the coming weeks.
The working group convened the 5th and 6th meetings online at the beginning of September, over five (5) working days.
The meeting was attended by 78 different members, representing 39 national standards bodies and 13 liaisons.
During this meeting, the team continued to review the remainder of over 1600 comments from global experts on potential improvements.
Dates for the next meeting are set for 26 – 27 September 2024.
