The 51st meeting of ISO/TC 176/SC 2 was held remotely on 24th October.
The meeting was well attended. The session was very productive with highlights including:
· Progress in the revision of ISO 9001. The second committee draft consultation is expected to be issued at the beginning of 2025. Please contact your National Standards Body or Liaison organization if you would like to have your voice heard as this work progresses.
· Progress in planning for the revision of ISO TS 9002:2016 Quality management systems — Guidelines for the application of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO Handbook ISO 9001:2015 for Small Enterprises. What to do? Advise from ISO/TC 176. Considering the revision of ISO 9001 a new SC 2 Task group (TG) 6 was established at the beginning of 2024 to start the preparation for the revision of ISO TS 9002 and ISO SME handbook, so that the updated documents can be published shortly after the publication of the revised ISO 9001.
