The results of the systematic review enquiry show a majority in favour of "confirmation" for ISO 9001:2015.
The systematic review results show 36 votes in favour of "confirmation" of ISO 9001:2015 and 32 votes in favour of "revision or amendment". There were no votes for "withdrawal".
An ISO committee is required to take due notice of the results of a systematic review, but is not obliged to follow them (see the ISO Consolidated ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1, clause 2.9.2). Consequently, ISO/TC 176/SC2 will now wait for the results of the ISO 9001 User Survey, along with other inputs, before deciding on what action to take on the standard.
The SC2 "Strategic Planning and Operations Task Group" (SPOTG) will meet in March 2021 to review all pertinent inputs before making a recommendation to SC2's members.
The SPOTG's recommendation will be circulated for ballot among SC2's members to determine if it is acceptable to them.
