ISO 9001 revision progress

There has been considerable interest and discussion about the upcoming changes to ISO 9001

This week (31 March- 4 April), over 50 experts from more than 40 countries gathered in Paris to make significant progress in updating ISO 9001, working to ensure that the world's best-known standard for quality management systems (QMS) remains aligned with the evolving needs of organizations and addresses today's challenges. The meeting focused on addressing the comments submitted by more than 40 different countries on key topics such as operation and control, infrastructure, organizational knowledge, business continuity, ethics, and more!

There has been considerable interest and discussion about the upcoming changes to ISO 9001. However, the reality is that the update process is still underway. Following this meeting, the next major milestone will be the release of the Draft International Standard (DIS) for public comment. This will provide users around the world a clear and transparent picture of the proposed changes to ISO 9001 and allow them the opportunity to review and comment on the actual revisions, ensuring their voices are heard in the final stages of the update.
