Today SC6 Mechanical Engineering Documentation had its plenary meeting. The workings groups, WG21 Classification of technical requirements , WG22 Three-dimensional modeling and WG23 Finite element analysis (FEA) gave their reports and recommendations for resolutions in SC6.

WG21 will soon submit their two parts on the topic of classification of requirements, i.e. Part 1 Framework and Part 2 Classification based on severity and susceptibility. Briefly the scope of Part 1 Framework is: Describtion of the framework for building a system for classification of requirements. Such a system can be used to indicate requirements of special importance, and communicate them for production set-up, verification, and audit etc. Where as Part 2 defines its scope briefly as: Description of a method for classification of requirements based on severity and susceptibility. This classification method needs a system in line with the framework as described in ISO 24096 Part 1 to form a complete system. Soon SC1 Basic conventions, will have their plenary meeting. Todays meetings will end up in a CAG meeting, which is the Chairman´s Advisory Group meeting.
Tomorrow is the last day of this years ISO/TC 10 plenary meeting series in Berlin. ISO/TC 10 will then have their last plenary meeting.
ISO/TC 10 wants to pay particular thanks to Siemens-Energy for hosting the meeting series and for all of the help and assistance provided throughout the meetings. ISO/TC 10 thanks host Thorsten Engelke and the team at Siemens Energy in Berlin for all of the arrangements and work done so far to make it possible for the various sub-committees and working groups to meet again face-face for the first time in 4 long years.
